Crane & rigging simulator
You're the project manager. Bring in crews and machines, stage the traffic, pick your means and methods, and bring the job in on time and under budget. Run any machine yourself to save the operator.
| A D | Slew (swing) left / right |
| W S | Boom up / down |
| Q E | Telescope in / out |
| Hoist up / down | |
| Shift (hold) | Precision: inch every motion for fine adjustments |
| Space (hold) | Fast |
| tap / hold | A tap moves a little; holding builds up speed, like easing a joystick |
| Z X | Tag lines: turn the load |
| F | Hook on / unhook |
| C | Camera: orbit, cab, boom tip |
| H | Horn |
| R · Esc | Restart · pause |
| W S · A D | Drive · steer |
| Enter | Set up here / deploy |
| O · M | Outrigger extension · mats |
Laid out like crane joysticks. Left stick: slew and telescope. Right stick: boom (left = up) and hoist (push = lower). RT / LT hoist (analog), A fast, B hook on / off, D-pad left / right tag lines, Y camera, Start restart. Driving: left stick steers, RT / LT drive and brake.
Every job starts with a plan. Pick the crane: bigger cranes reach further and lift more, but the rental eats the margin. The plan shows the worst case for every pick and every set. Over 75 % of the chart is a critical lift.
Then size the rigging. Sling tension rises as the sling angle flattens: a sling at 60° carries 1.15 × its share, at 45° it carries 1.41 ×, and under 30° it isn't allowed. A spreader bar keeps the slings vertical on long loads. Round slings are kind to painted finishes but need softeners on sharp edges. Wire and chain mark paint.
Tag lines put two hands on the load so you can turn it with Z / X. Without them a long load turns on its own, and beams and girders have to land square on their seats.
Park in the zone facing the arrow, then choose the outrigger extension and mats. Pads on soft ground without mats will punch in under load. Pads can't go on a vault, a truck or a live lane. Every foot of radius counts: the panel shows the chart at this spot as you drive.
Keep the boom, rope and load 10 ft from power lines. Never swing a load over live traffic. Land loads gently, don't side-load the boom, and don't lift past the chart. With the LMI bypassed in free play, the crane will tip, the boom will fold or the rope will part, just to show you why.
